You do realize that you have absolutely no customer support at the moment?

I've tried ringing BitDefender only to be greeted with a busy signal continuously, tried live assistance only to be greeted with a follow up message stating the service is "offline" and subsecquently, haven't received a reply to my email as well.

Where is the support?

Hello Eric

Only windows xp service pack 2 is "officially" supported. You can try the trial to see if it works but there isn't any guarantee that it will work.

Eric,

This is not a dig, but why do you not go to XP SP2?

There are still a couple of minor bugs left unfixed, will they be addressed via updates later?

I will inform about it. But I think they will fix it via future updates.

Hi Niels,

who will contact me and for what? (IMG:http://forum.bitdefender.com/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I was also wondering - does BD 2008 really have a new antivirus engine, and if it does, why it still says Engine version 7.xxxx like in BD v.10?

Also, do you know if they will include BD 2008 in the August on-demand test of av-comparatives.org?

regards

One option is missing in the V11 Series and It was available in the V10...
i'm thinking about the option of closing the computer after a scheduled scan
can you add it in a update please ! (IMG:http://forum.bitdefender.com/style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

Another request for you is about the Total Security Suite...
You should integrate the free GNU Technology of Piriform Ltd
Or deal with them cause it's really good stuff that live from pub and donations.

The free registry Utility detect more optimization than the total security 2008 suite,
an of any other registry tools on the market.

The defragmenting tool allow you to defrag only some files,
or most fragmented files faster than any other defragmenting tool.

Only 3 product but good free software to integrate:

Visit Piriform Site

Bit defender is still the best way to keep a single workstation or a complete school quiet (IMG:http://forum.bitdefender.com/style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)
With a minimum of 1 Gb of ram and a 1Ghz non celeron Cpu 2008 Suite Works Fine!

Oliver, IT A+ in Quebec, Canada

Florin,

2008 isn't much good if it won't update, and mine won't. Your support is so hit or miss that it is almost impossible. I finally spoke with Cosmin Puccean, and, to his credit, he was quite good, but he has not returned any info or suggestions. I did email that which he requested, but I have no way of knowing if it arrived because you people simply do not respond. This is not my first BitDefender product, and I really did think that you had one of the better ones on the market. As it now stands, you simply scammed my out of quite a bit of cash

If you want the business to work, you better get on the ball, and start responding to problems.

Replying to me on this forum probably won't work. I had a ###### of a time navigating my way in here, and although I have selected email notification of replies, I have absolutely no confidence that will happen.

If I receive no support soon, I will start writing to publications. I don't want to waste the time, but I feel I should...if you are going to continue selling non-supported and inoperable systems.

To be honnest, I'm worried ... to see BitDefender going the same way as Symantec !
Why does a company links a product name to a year ? For heavens sake !
BitDefender is not a Château Latour or a Beaujolais ?!

Even Microsoft who started this nonsense has changed his stupid policy naming Windows by year versions !

Now what ?
- Each year another version launched in a hurry .... to get the deadline ?
- Each year a so called "better" YEAR version, which actually won't be bug free, and not fully tested ?

- Each year less and less efficient Support ?
- Is Softwin following the same path as Symantec ...
towards never ending complaints about no support at all ?

I hope for the best but fear for the worst.
Murphy is just behind the corner, waiting to help failing bad marketing tricks.
