Today, Bitdefender Internet Security blocks TrueImageMonitor.exe, which I have for ages. I'm quite sure there's nothing wrong with the file. It runs backups on schedule and should be no harm. Elsewhere, everything's clean

I have Virus Signatures: 2500897, Engine Version: 7.23213.

Dear Taksina,

What version of Acronis True Image are you using? Because TrueImageMonitor.exe isn't detected. Here is version 11 installed.

Can you please do this press the windows button together with r now type msconfig press enter select the startup tab and see if TrueImageMonitor is checked if not check it.

I suppose that you are still using 2008 version of BitDefender because you posted in that forum section. Open BitDefender and press on history, antivirus please open each item where you see infected file detected or something similar please post the location of the infected file.

Kind regards,
Niels

I'm sorry I might have posted on the wrong forum. I'm using BitDefender Internet Security 2009 and Acronis TrueImage Home version 11.0 Build 8.101.

Now it gets worse. Upon Windows startup, BitDefender deleted TrueImageMonitor.exe thinking it's a trojan (please see attached picture)

And yes msconfig shows TrueImageMonitor.exe is checked.

Thanks for your prompt reply.

I'm having the same problem. I have Acronis TrueImage Home version 11.0 (build 8101) and Bitdefender AV 2008 (build 11.0.17). Both of these pieces of software have been on my PC for over three years and have happily co-existed. Until today. Even after telling Bitdefender to ignore TrueImageMonitor.exe (by adding it as an exception in an AV scan) Bitdefender still deletes it!!

Hi.

I have a 5 user license, so I gave one to my mother.

Yeasterday she couldn't send an email with 3 attached photos, because the email was blocked because of trojans.
I had to reinstall IS on here computer so she could send email with attachement.

Today my PC blocked DVDshrink program because of trojan, I used this program many time before without problems.

So it looks like that one of the latest IS updates got wrong.

Sorry. I have IS2009 not 2008

The current Virus Signatures: 2555082, Engine Version: 7.23252 for my Internet Security 2009 seem to have solved the trouble with TrueImageMonitor.exe. Anyone that has this problem before should Repair your TrueImage installation and everything seems in order now.
