Hello
My first post here. Last week a neighbour asked for assistance in upgrading his security suite on his PC. I did some
research and settled on Internet Security as a solution.

He bought a copy of Internet Security 2009/ 3 user/ 2 year and I offered to install it for him.

Having uninstalled the previous security and launching the CD, I was given a message there was a newer version and asked
if I wanted to download that. I agreed and did so, then installed IS 2010. Registration and validation was completed.

However, on reboot, my friend cannot access his mail. The internet works fine and he can browse the bet via Internet Explorer but
if he tries to access his Webmail here:

http://www.bigpond.com/home/

the strangest thing happens. The mailbox starts loading as usual then the body of t e page goes blank, IE indicates "Done" on the
bottom left hand corner and IE freezes. To exit IE I have to Control/Alt/Delete. I have tried several times, re-booted, played about with settings - all to
no avail. I also get an Error Message from BitDefender asking to send a report to them. We did so, but can't get a reply if mail doesn't work

Having read through some of th e posts I see mail seems to be an issue. I tried accessing Webmail with IS turned off, but there is no option
to disable it.

Could one of the support people please advise how to rectify this issue? Many thanks

Please try the following:

Reboot in Safe Mode and delete the file httproxy.dll from BitDefender's install folder (usually is c:\program files\bitdefender\bitdefender 2010). Then check if the issue still occurs.

I did as you suggested. No change.
