Hello-
I've encountered an issue with BitDefender Total Security running on Windows 7 (x64). I've noticed that when I am working on something, the virus scanner will suddenly turn on, making the hard disk nearly unresponsive and using about 15-30% of my CPU. How can I stop it from turning on at random times when I'm working? Is there a way to adjust the scheduling for automatic scans?

Currently, the only solution I've found is to completely disable Antivirus auto scan. But if my computer is always linked to the Internet and receiving email, I certainly want it to scan emails and documents, but just not do a full-fledged scan in the background.

Please help!
