I just got bit defender and everytime i open it it says this: seccenter.exe - system error The program can't start because MSVCR100.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.

I uninstall bit defender and install it again and the same thing happens. Attached File  1.jpg ( 355.75K ) Number of downloads: 21

Hello (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Indeed, that issue is cause by Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2010. You need to reinstall this software and repair Bitdefender from Start->(All) Programs->Bitdefender 2012->Repair or Remove.

After this, please reboot your PC.

Take care.

I have the same problem but only with Bitdefender products. I have used Norton, AVG, etc. with no problem. I get the seccenter.exe error message and also the bdagent.exe error. I have contacted tech support with no solution multiple times. I have uninstalled and reinstalled with no change. I am using Windows 7/ 64-bit with a Netgear router. It installed fine on a Windows 7 Starter/32-bit system using the same router. I am at a loss as to what else to try. Thanks, Tammy

I too have Windows 7 64-bit w/Netgear. I also got "escalated" when I contacted customer support today, although yesterday I got good support. I just fixed it by changing my Stealth mode in the Firewall settings to Off, hopefully that works for you too.

Hi (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I think I have a solution for your case.

As the new Bitdefender 2013 product suite was released, we would like to inform you that you benefit from a FREE upgrade to the latest version.
Apart from the fact that the 2013 suite brings lots of new features and improvements, it will most likely solve any issues that you may have encountered with your previous Bitdefender product.

Please check out this announcement:
